Have a Business Action Plan

The first step in starting your new online business is having a plan of action. You have to ask yourself some questions before diving right into creating your website. Lets face it, youre here because you want to make money. Lets put some plans and goals down on paper to help us keep our focus on what our goal is.

Brain storm some product ideas. Take 20 minutes at your kitchen table and write down everything you are intersted in, have knowledge of or have a desire to learn more about. Don’t leave anything off your list. This list will be used later when we do our keyword selections.

What kind of website do you want to have? There are websites called landing pages, where you will sell only one product, this is a very easy website to build and all of your attention will be focused on one product. Then there are affiliate sales websites. www.internetbusinessite.com is a prime example of an affiliate website. The affiliate website is built completely around a topic or industry. Then you have E-Commerce websites, where the website focuses on merchandise. Whatever your choice is, don’t write it in stone, the product you end up choosing my dictate what kind of website you build.
